Boxing manager and promoter Frank Maloney has retired from the sport today.
He had secured a provisional agreement to promote David Price's next fight as the Liverpudlian looks to rebuild his career.
Maloney reveals that he has gradually fallen out of love with boxing after coming to prominence in the 1990s.
"For the last year I have gradually fallen out of love with boxing and my passion has been missing," Maloney said in a statement.
"I did much soul searching over the summer and my heart is no longer in the sport that I loved so much.
"If I continued as [Price's] promoter it would be unfair as I can not give the commitment and love for the sport that is needed to get his career back on track."
Maloney rose to fame in the 1990s when he managed Lennox Lewis to become Britain's first heavyweight world champion.
