Frank Maloney has bitten back at rumours suggesting that Tony Thompson has not agreed to face David Price in a rematch on July 6.
The heavyweight pair will stand toe to toe once again at the Echo Arena as the Liverpool-based fighter seeks redemption following a second-round knockout last month.
"Everything Tony Thompson asked for he got and he has signed the contract for the rematch, despite what people want to say," BoxRec quotes Maloney as saying.
"Why is it that people spread nonsense about fights not happening? They must have nothing better to do with their lives."
Despite clearing the situation up, Maloney admitted that negotiating a fight with the American has been an ordeal.
"Tony is a great pro and knows how to work a fight, but he can be very hard deal with when you are making an agreement to fight," he added.
"He doesn't have a manager or promoter negotiating for him. Everything goes through himself and his wife. They have had me tearing my hair out, but signed the contract as soon as they received it."
The defeat was Price's first of his professional career.
