British middleweight Matthew Macklin will attempt to move himself back in contention to compete for a world title when he faces Daniel Geale next month
The 31-year-old, who has failed to capture a world strap on three occasions, will meet the former IBF champion in the United States on May 24.
Macklin's career suffered a blow when he was stopped by Gennady Golovkin inside three rounds in June last year before he ended 2013 with a points victory over Lamar Russ.
Geale lost his IBF belt in a thrilling contest against fellow Brit Darren Barker before getting back to winning ways with a comprehensive triumph over compatriot Garth Wood.
