David Price, Adam Booth part ways, Tommy Brooks steps in

David Price and Adam Booth part ways just two months after joining forces, with American trainer Tommy Brooks stepping in to fill the void.

British heavyweight David Price has ended his brief working relationship with trainer Adam Booth.

The 30-year-old from Liverpool left Franny Smith to link up with Booth just two months ago, but will now be taking the advice of Tommy Brooks as he tries to rebuild his career following successive defeats to Tony Thompson.

"I have been waiting for the phone to ring to work with a fighter who can make it to the top," the Daily Mail quotes the American - who has formerly worked with Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson and both Klitschko brothers - as saying.

"The heavyweight division is becoming very exciting again with a fresh young crop of talent coming through and Britain has some of the best prospects, but David has all the attributes needed to dominate the division."

Price, who is expected to return against Evgeny Orlov in January, recently relinquished his British and Commonwealth straps to work towards a world title shot.
