David Price says that Tyson Fury rejected the offer of a fight, despite the Liverpool man agreeing for it to be broadcast on terrestrial TV.

British heavyweight David Price has revealed that Tyson Fury refused to fight him.

The duo were expected to get it on after the man from Liverpool defeated John McDermott in January to become mandatory challenger for Fury's British and Commonwealth titles.

However, Fury vacated the two straps, which Price went on to win against Sam Sexton.

The Manchester fighter, who stopped American journeyman Vinny Maddalone on Saturday night, claimed that Price would not agree to fight him on Channel 5.

Fury, speaking after his victory on Saturday night, said that he was ready to take on the Klitschko brothers, but Price took to Twitter to clarify the situation.

"For the record- I instructed my management to contact Fury's people to make the fight on C5 2 weeks ago. They refused," he tweeted.

Fury recently revealed that he has battled with bulimia.
