Team GB's Ed McKeever "happy enough" with bronze

Team GB canoeist Ed McKeever says that he is "happy enough" after winning bronze in the K1 200m event at the European Games.

Team GB's Ed McKeever has said that he is "happy enough" to have secured a bronze medal at the inaugural European Games in Baku earlier today.

The Olympic champion claimed third in the K1 200m event, finishing behind Hungary's Miklos Dudas, who won gold, and Petter Menning of Sweden.

The 31-year-old wrote on Twitter: "I won bronze at the European Games. Happy enough but plenty of work to do before the world champs in eight weeks time."

McKeever won two bronzes at last year's World Championships in Moscow, including in the K1 200m contest.
