Former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott has suggested that the current crop of players are not up to standard following their World Cup defeat to New Zealand.
The side, who are captained by Eoin Morgan, recorded a humiliating eight-wicket defeat in their second Pool A match.
Boycott caused waves earlier this month by claiming that Morgan was below par, but now he believes that the whole team are struggling.
"Perhaps they are not as good as they think they are," Boycott told BBC Radio 5 live. "I said that about the captain Morgan and everybody went mad, but maybe England aren't either.
"They have got a lot of hard work to do. They were supposed to be planning for the World Cup for a year, but lost Jonathan Trott, a solid no three, sacked Kevin Pietersen and went on too long with Alastair Cook as captain. I could go on."
England also lost their opener against Australia.
