England's Alex Hales moves up to second in ICC's Twenty20 batting rankings

Alex Hales moves up to second in the ICC's Twenty20 batting rankings after becoming the first England batsman to score three figures in the format.

England batsman Alex Hales has been pushed up to second place in the International Cricket Council's Twenty20 batting rankings.

England's winter has been less than impressive following an Ashes whitewash defeat in Australia and an early exit from the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.

However, Hales has moved up a place in the rankings after becoming the first English batsman to score a century in the format during his side's victory over Sri Lanka in the World T20.

Australia's Aaron Finch has the top spot in the rankings, while India's Virat Kohli sits third.
