David Warner makes an unbeaten 58 as Australia reach 126-2 at lunch of day one of the first Test match with India in Chennai.

Australia have made an impressive start to their Test series with India after reaching lunch on day one of the first Test match on 126-2.

After the tourists won the toss in Chennai, Ed Cowan and David Warner put on an opening partnership of 64 before Cowan was stumped by MS Dhoni off the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin for 29.

Phil Hughes made just six before Ashwin bowled him out for his second wicket to bring Shane Watson to the crease.

The all-rounder played a patient innings as Warner moved towards his half-century and he secured his 50 just before the lunch interval, with Watson moving to 28.
