Essex Eagles have beaten Kent Spitfires by six runs in the Twenty20 Blast.
The visitors needed five runs from their final two overs for victory, and reached them through Ravi Bopara, who scored an impressive 81, and Ben Foakes, who replaced Ryan Doeschate to run in five of his own as the visitors finished on 193-4.
Earlier in the evening, the Spitfires posted a score of 189-5, with impressive innings from Robert Key and Daniel Bell-Drummond who scored 62 and 48 respectively.
However, Jesse Ryder, Tom Westley, Doeschate all contributed for the Eagles as Bopara finished as the star of the show with eight fours and three sixes.
