Sri Lanka extend lead over Pakistan

Sri Lanka lead Pakistan by 176 runs at tea on day four of the first Test in Abu Dhabi.

A knock of 89 from Dinesh Chandimal has helped Sri Lanka to open up a 176-run lead over Pakistan at tea on day four of the first Test match in Abu Dhabi.

Sri Lanka resumed after lunch on 285-4 with Angelo Mathews and Chandimal at the crease, and the pair took their side past 300 with ease.

However, Chandimal's innings came to an end on 89 when he lofted a catch to Rahat Ali off the bowling of Junaid Khan.

Prasanna Jayawardene joined Mathews in the middle and he steadied matters with some patient strokeplay.

Mathews ended the afternoon session on 87, while Jayawardene's 14 has taken Sri Lanka to 355-5.
