England cyclist Lizzie Armitstead has allayed fears over her fitness ahead of Sunday's road race at the Commonwealth Games, claming that she finally feels "normal" again.
Fears grew over her participation in Glasgow after the 25-year-old crashed in France earlier this week during an inaugural ride of Le Tour, a 13-lap women's race around the Champs-Elysees.
However, Armitstead has described her injuries as "fine" and says that she feels back to her best ahead of tomorrow's event.
"My injuries are fine - I've got stitches in my left elbow and I'm a bit stiff but today was the first day I woke up and felt normal," she told reporters.
The race is scheduled to begin at 8am.
