Mark Cavendish has won the Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne race after sprinting to victory ahead of Alexander Kristoff and Elia Viviani.
The win was Britain's second of the weekend, following Ian Stannard's Omloop Het Nieuwsblad victory yesterday.
Kristoff was leading the race until the final stages, but Cavendish overtook him with 150m remaining and won by a bike's length.
"I knew it was going to be hard but I have been going good all year and the team looked after me superb today, so I am super-proud to get this victory for Etixx – Quick-Step on the opening weekend [of the classics]," Cavendish told Sky Sports News.
The victory was Cavendish's sixth of the season.
