Vincenzo Nibali all but seals Tour de France triumph

Vincenzo Nibali all but seals his maiden Tour de France victory after extending his overall lead on stage 20 from Bergerac to Perigueux.

Vincenzo Nibali has all but won the Tour de France after extending his overall lead on stage 20.

The Astana rider stretched his advantage to 7:52 on Saturday thanks to a fourth-placed finish, while Omega Pharma-Quick Step's Tony Martin secured a comfortable victory as the race went from Bergerac to Perigueux.

Nibali will be joined on the podium in Paris on Sunday by French duo Jean-Christophe Peraud and Thibaut Pinot.

The 29-year-old is due to become only the sixth rider in history to win all three Grand Tours following his previous victories at the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana.
