James Wade and Kim Huybrechts have been knocked out in the first round of the Players Championship Finals in Minehead.
Wade was 5-3 up and missed one match dart against Steve Beaton before the 49-year-old stormed back to win the final three legs to book a last-16 clash with Wes Newton, who defeated Andy Smith.
Huybrechts, who was the runner-up at this event 12 months ago, slumped to a disappointing 6-2 loss to Terry Jenkins, who will now meet Ian White.
Peter Wright averaged over 101 in outclassing Michael Smith, while Gary Anderson fought back from a 4-1 deficit to seal his passage into the second round in a last-leg decider against Stuart Kellett.
There were also victories for Brendan Dolan and Jamie Caven, who beat Wayne Jones and Colin Lloyd respectively.
