James Wade has avoided a huge scare to record a 3-2 victory over Darren Webster to progress through to the second round of the PDC World Championship.
Despite taking the opening set, Wade fell 2-1 behind before Webster missed six darts at a double to send the world number six crashing out of the tournament.
Wade survived to take the match into a decider, and the left-hander produced a composed final set to move through to a last-32 encounter with Andy Smith.
The 30-year-old told PDC.TV: "I really got away with it tonight. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world right now."
In the other matches on Thursday night, Wes Newton secured a 3-1 win over Ting Chi Royden Lam, Kevin Painter eased past Tomas Seyler and Mark Webster edged to a 3-2 success over Mensur Suljovic.
