A botched final dive saw GB pair Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg finish one from bottom in the women's 3m synchro at the World Diving Series in Kazan today.
The duo, who claimed a bronze medal in China last month, were on course to repeat the feat until their final dive, where they scored a session-low 36.27 after Blagg over-rotated on entry.
Gold predictably went the way of China, as duo Wu Minxia and Shi Tingmao recorded a score of 334.20, almost 25 points ahead of the chasing pack.
Jennifer Abel and Pamela Ware of Canada took silver, while the host nation's Kristina Ilinykh and Nadezhda Bazhina edged Malaysia by just over one point to take the final podium place.
