Moreirense strike late to deny Academica de Coimbra

Moreirense pick up just their fourth point of the Primera Division season courtesy of Enca Fati's 96th-minute equaliser against Academica de Coimbra.

Enca Fati scored a 96th-minute equaliser as Moreirense drew 1-1 with Academica de Coimbra in the Primeira Liga this evening.

The home team took the lead in the 15th minute when Nwankwo Obiora shot past Moreirense goalkeeper Igor Stefanovic.

Moreirense picked up four yellow cards in the first half, but pushed for the equaliser after the break.

The bottom-placed club forced Academica goalkeeper Pedro da Silva Trigueiro into six saves as the defence looked to have held on to the victory.

Fati had other ideas, though, and equalised in the 96th minute to rescue a point for Moreirense.

The result means that Moreirense have picked up four points from their opening nine matches.
