Accrington Stanley boss Paul Cook says that it is difficult to say goodbye to Kurtis Guthrie, Alan Burton, Liam Willis and Danny Coid, who will not have their contracts renewed this summer.

Accrington Stanley have confirmed that four of the club's playing staff will not have their contracts renewed for next season.

The League Two side announced the departures of Kurtis Guthrie, Alan Burton, Liam Willis and Danny Coid today. However, Stanley have claimed that 30-year-old Coid will be permitted to train with the club during pre-season.

"This is always the hardest part of the season," said manager Paul Cook. "We'd like to thank the lads who are leaving us for all they have done for
the club and wish them all the best for the future."

The remainder of the squad are currently in discussions with the Lancashire-based outfit over new contracts.
