Saturday's League One predictions including Ipswich vs. Plymouth

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Ipswich vs. Plymouth.

AFC Wimbledon vs. Cambridge (Saturday, 3.00pm)

AFC Wimbledon play host to Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon looking for a long overdue win which will move the club outside of the League One relegation zone.

While the visitors currently sit 12 points clear of the bottom four, defeat at the weekend would leave the U's with work to do in order to retain their third-tier status.

We say: AFC Wimbledon 1-1 Cambridge United

With neither team showing any kind of form in recent weeks, this is a difficult match to predict. While home advantage has the potential of serving Wimbledon well, we expect Cambridge to gain at least a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Accrington vs. Gillingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Gillingham square off against Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon knowing that they may have to earn all three points to remain outside of the League One relegation zone.

Although Accrington have little to play, a top-10 finish is still within reach if they are able to put together a strong end to the campaign.

We say: Accrington Stanley 1-1 Gillingham

Given the contrasting home and away records of the respective teams, there should only be one winner on Saturday. However, with the stakes and desire far higher in the visitors dressing room, we are predicting an hard-earned share of the spoils for Gillingham.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Doncaster vs. Charlton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Relegation-threatened Doncaster Rovers will be looking to claim three crucial points when they face Charlton Athletic in their League One clash at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.

Donny have lost eight of their last nine games on home soil, while the Addicks have suffered defeat in each of their last four matches on the road.

We say: Doncaster Rovers 0-2 Charlton Athletic

Considering Charlton's upturn in form and Doncaster's struggle to score goals, the visitors will be the favourites to claim maximum points this weekend.

The pressure is on the hosts to pick up crucial points if they are to avoid the drop, but we can see the visitors claiming a routine win at South Yorkshire.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Ipswich vs. Plymouth (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Ipswich Town will be looking to boost their playoff hopes with victory against high-flying Plymouth Argyle in their League One clash at Portman Road on Saturday.

The Tractor Boys are unbeaten in each of their last nine league games on home soil, while the Pilgrims have won four of their last five league games on the road.

We say: Ipswich Town 1-1 Plymouth Argyle

An intriguing contest between two in-form teams is set to take place at Portman Road, though there is more pressure on Ipswich to claim maximum points considering their position outside of the playoffs.

Although Plymouth came out on top in the reverse fixture, there is little to separate these two sides this time around and we feel that an entertaining score draw could be on the cards.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Sheff Weds vs. Cheltenham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

With the race for League One playoff places heating up, Sheffield Wednesday will look to make a return to winning ways when they host Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

Having played out consecutive draws, the Owls sit seventh in England's third tier, just one point behind sixth-placed Sunderland with a game in hand.

We say: Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Cheltenham Town

Sunderland not playing at the weekend allows Sheffield Wednesday a clear path into the top six with their game in hand, and we back them to take the chance and return to winning ways on home turf.

While they will be disappointed by consecutive draws, Moore's side have looked rejuvenated since the turn of the year, and, even without several forwards, they possess the quality to outclass their visitors.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Shrewsbury vs. Lincoln (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two sides battling in the bottom half of the League One table will square off on Saturday, as Shrewsbury Town welcome Lincoln City to New Meadow.

The hosts have climbed above their visitors thanks to two consecutive eye-catching wins, most recently thrashing league leaders Rotherham United.

We say: Shrewsbury Town 2-1 Lincoln City

Lincoln will not roll over for their hosts, and this certainly should be a close encounter, but the Shrews have been particularly impressive in the last fortnight, and we back them to make it three wins on the bounce with momentum on their side.

Cotterill's men will be keen to continue their climb up the table, and, with home advantage and a front line full of confidence, they should have enough to take all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
