AFC Wimbledon loan Cardiff City youngster

AFC Wimbledon complete the loan signing of striker Jesse Darko from Cardiff City.

AFC Wimbledon manager Neil Ardley has predicted that loan signing Jesse Darko will have an instant impact at the League Two club.

Darko has left Cardiff City to sign a one-month loan deal with the Dons, and Ardley has revealed that he was impressed with the 19-year-old's understanding of his style of play at Kingsmeadow.

Ardley told the club's official website: "Jesse is very quick, has good movement and he works incredibly hard along the front line.

"Importantly, he understands what I want the team to do and how I like us to press, so I do not think it will take him long to fit in."

The Austrian-born forward worked with Ardley during his time at Cardiff's youth academy.
