It was the home side that had the first chance of the match, as Matias Suarez tested Salvatore Sirigu with an effort from 25 yards out inside the opening 10 minutes.

However, Ibrahimovic opened the scoring after 17 minutes, after Edinson Cavani crossed the ball in, setting the Swede up for a tap-in from close range.

The striker doubled PSG's lead just five minutes later with a similar strike to the opener, this time picking the ball up from Gregory van der Wiel.

Ibrahimovic clinched his hat-trick with a powerful finish from 35 yards out, leaving the French champions three goals up after just 36 minutes.

Cavani quickly extended the visitors' lead after the break, after Blaise Matuida benefited from a slip by Chancel Mbemba before crossing in for the Uruguayan.

Ibrahimovic continued to pose a threat in front of the Anderlecht goal, and added his fourth of the game just after the hour mark, smashing the ball in off the post.

PSG continued to press late on, but were unable to increase their lead further, but the result keeps them at the top of group C with a 100% record.
