FIFA have allowed Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong to switch his national eligibility from England to Ghana.
The 20-year-old had previously represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level.
Since then, Frimpong has decided that he would like to represent the country of his birth.
Following a series of discussions, the governing body have granted him permission to play for the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists. As a result, Frimpong may now feature during January's Africa Cup of Nations.
He is currently on loan with Championship side Charlton Athletic.
