Debutant Santi Cazorla impresses for Arsenal, who fail to break the deadlock in the first half despite their clear dominance over Sunderland.

The half-time whistle has blown at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal and Sunderland level despite the hosts' dominance.

The visitors started brightly, with James McClean and Jack Colback both forcing good saves from Wojciech Szczesny inside the opening 12 minutes.

Led by debuting winger Santi Cazorla, Arsenal responded positively. The 27-year-old Spain international's close control and positive dribbling has been a constant threat to the Black Cats' back four.

Arsenal have enjoyed 70% of possession so far and recorded nine shots compared to their opponents' four.
