Fulham were posing a threat and Szczesny had to be out quickly off his line to reach the ball ahead of Ashkan Dejagah.

Arsenal's best chance of the half fell to Bacary Sagna, when a free kick from Santi Cazorla broke kindly to him inside the box, but Maarten Stekelenburg got down quickly to make the save.
