Theo Walcott 'not ready' to start for Arsenal against Burnley

Arsenal boss Theo Walcott says that Theo Walcott is not "completely ready" to start a game following a nine-month stint on the sidelines with injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Theo Walcott is not "completely ready" to start a game yet following his lengthy spell on the sidelines with injury.

The England international has not started a competitive fixture since January after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

The 25-year-old was named on the bench for last weekend's 2-0 win over Sunderland, but was not used as a substitute during the match.

"Theo is not completely ready," Wenger told reporters in this morning's press conference. "He's been out for too long to start."

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere is likely to miss tomorrow's match against Burnley because of a knee problem.
