Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: 'Gabriel fit for Bayern Munich'

Arsene Wenger says that Gabriel will shrug off an illness in order to return to the Arsenal squad for the upcoming Champions League visit of Bayern Munich.

Arsene Wenger has revealed that defender Gabriel should be fit to return to the Arsenal squad for Tuesday's must-win Champions League visit of Bayern Munich.

The Brazilian centre-half missed Saturday night's 3-0 win at Watford through illness, but the Gunners boss says that he should be fine for the visit of Bayern.

"He should be available for Tuesday. He had a good training session before we left at our training ground and he looks alright," the Frenchman told the club's official website.

Having lost their first two Champions League outings, Wenger's men sit bottom of Group F and face an uphill task if they are to reach the knockout stages.
