Petr Cech heralds Arsenal patience following Watford rout

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech hails his teammates' patience after needing an hour to break down resolute Watford in a 3-0 win at Vicarage Road.

Petr Cech has heralded the patience of his Arsenal teammates following their rousing second-half display in Saturday's 3-0 win at Watford.

Alexis Sanchez broke the deadlock on 62 minutes before further goals from Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey completed the scoring at Vicarage Road.

"It is always difficult going away for the internationals and you come back home and everyone comes back at different times," the Czech goalkeeper told Arsenal's official website.

"You have only one day to prepare and you play away from home against a good team that was very solid at home in their previous games.

"We knew it was going to be a difficult game. We needed to be patient to score the first goal."

Victory saw the Gunners move second in the Premier League table, two points behind Manchester City.
