Arsenal are drawn against Leeds United in the fourth round of the EFL Cup after cruising past AFC Wimbledon 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

Arsenal have been drawn against Leeds United in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.

The Gunners have overcome West Bromwich Albion and AFC Wimbledon by an aggregate scoreline of 9-0 to reach the fourth round, with Mikel Arteta's men easing to a 3-0 win over the latter on Wednesday evening.

Alexandre Lacazette's penalty preceded an Emile Smith Rowe strike and Eddie Nketiah's delightful finish against Wimbledon, and the Gunners have been rewarded with a home tie against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds.

The Whites needed penalties to make it past Fulham in Tuesday's third-round encounter, and they fell to a 4-2 defeat at the Emirates last term after managing to hold the Gunners to a goalless stalemate at Elland Road.

Arsenal and Leeds have never locked horns in the EFL Cup before but faced off in the FA Cup as recently as the 2019-20 campaign, where Reiss Nelson's winner saw the Gunners claim a 1-0 third-round win en route to the trophy.

Arteta's side now gear up for Sunday's Premier League North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur, who overcame Wolverhampton Wanderers on penalties to set up a fourth-round tie with Burnley.
