Arsene Wenger says that Serge Gnabry has a big future at Arsenal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed youngster Serge Gnabry and believes that he has a bright future in North London.

The Germany youth international is likely to be involved when the Gunners host Coventry City on Wednesday night in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

The 17-year-old has earned rave reviews after being included in the club's pre-season training camp, and Wenger believes that he could be the next breakout star at the Emirates Stadium.

"Serge Gnabry is a great hope for the future," said Wenger.

"I rate him highly. He is in the category of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott – guys who have great power, great pace, good dribbling skills. Goal scoring potential and good vision as well for the final ball. He can play central behind the striker or on the flanks.

"He had some injuries. If he continues his development, I think he could play this season in the first team. At the moment he needs to work and ensure he remains fit."

Gnabry joined Arsenal from Stuttgart last summer.
