Arsenal receive 10 nominations for the 2023 London Football Awards, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard both up for the Premier League Player of the Year.

Arsenal have received no fewer than 10 nominations for the 2023 London Football Awards following their magnificent start to the 2022-23 season.

With the Gunners' men's team taking 50 points from their opening 19 games of the 2022-23 Premier League season, it comes as little surprise to see the table-toppers dominate the award categories.

Captain Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka are both up for the Premier League Player of the Year award, with the former coming up with eight goals and six assists in 18 league outings this term.

Meanwhile, Saka - who won the Young Player of the Year award in 2021 - has seven goals and seven assists to his name from 19 top-flight outings as the Gunners sit five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table with a game in hand.

Saka has also received another nomination for the Young Player of the Year award, where he is one of three 21-year-old Gunners up for the prize alongside William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli.

Saliba has become one of the Premier League's standout centre-backs after waiting three years to make his Arsenal debut, while Martinelli recently signed a new four-and-a-half year deal at the Emirates Stadium amid his continued rise.

Arsenal number one Aaron Ramsdale has also been nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year, having already kept nine clean sheets and conceded just 16 goals in 19 Premier League games this term.

Only Nick Pope (12) can boast more shutouts in the top flight so far this season, and Mikel Arteta has also received a nomination for the Manager of the Year prize after overseeing Arsenal's best-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

The 40-year-old was recently named January's Premier League Manager of the Month - his second successive award and fifth overall since taking charge of the Gunners in 2019.

Meanwhile, the Arsenal Women's team can boast two representatives in the Women's Player of the Year category, with Beth Mead and Kim Little both up for the prize.

Mead - who is currently recovering from an ACL injury - was crowned the 2022 BBC Sports Personality of the Year after scoring a tournament-high six goals for England during their run to the Euro 2022 crown.

Little - who serves as captain for Jonas Eidevall's team - already has two goals and one assist to her name from six Women's Super League games this term, and the 32-year-old continues to impress with her tenacious displays in the middle of the park.

Arsenal's 10th and final nomination comes in the Goal of the Season category for 2022-23, where right-back Laura Wienroither's strike against Manchester United is up for the award.

Wienroither met Katie McCabe's ball to the back post before side-footing home a delightful volley at the Emirates, but Arsenal still went on to lose the game 3-2.

Last year, West Ham United's Declan Rice and David Moyes were named the Premier League Player of the Year and Manager of the Year for 2021-22, while Chelsea's Samantha Kerr won the Women's Footballer of the Year accolade.
