Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger advises his successor to "respect the club's values".

Outgoing Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has used his final pre-match press conference to offer advice to his successor.

The Frenchman, who will step down from his post after 22 years this summer, urged his replacement to "respect the values of the club".

Wenger told reporters ahead of his last game in charge, the weekend's trip to Huddersfield Town: "I would like [my successor] to bring his own ideas. It's a chance for the players to see something different.

"But on the other hand I would say respect what has been built here."

Arsenal are yet to announce who will replace Wenger at the helm, with the leading candidates said to be Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri and former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.
