Mikel Arteta out for three weeks

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta is expected to be sidelined for "approximately three weeks" with a calf strain.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Mikel Arteta could be sidelined for "approximately three weeks" through injury.

The Spanish midfielder was forced to miss Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League with a calf strain.

The 30-year-old could miss up to five matches for the Gunners as he regains fitness.

Arteta has scored four goals in 26 appearances for Arsenal this season.
