Olivier Giroud talks up Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud highlights what he feels new teammate Alexis Sanchez will bring to the club.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has explained what he feels Alexis Sanchez will bring to the squad this coming season.

The Chile international arrived from Barcelona for around £32m last month, and the France international talked up the talents of his new teammate.

The Telegraph quotes Giroud as saying: "It is always easy to play with this type of player. I think he will maybe need some more games to adapt his game to the Premier League but this is normal and he is a fantastic player.

"He has different qualities to me or Yaya Sanogo. He can bring his pace and technique into the centre of the park. Our Germans will join us. We will be stronger this year and get better and better."

The Gunners saw off Manchester City 3-0 on Sunday to win the Community Shield.
