Arsene Wenger has promised Arsenal fans to expect "very exciting" things from Alexis Sanchez as he continues to adapt to life at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners' £35m man was given his first taste of English football in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Sanchez was replaced at half time by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and, although Wenger admits that the Chilean was not "completely ready", the Frenchman claims that there is plenty more to come.
"Alexis [Sanchez] looked very exciting, very lively but not completely ready yet," he told the club's official website. "He will be very exciting.
"It was a very good game. I think we started very well, we had a great first half with a lot of variation in our attacking and a lot of togetherness in our defending."
Goals from Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud ensured that the North Londoners secured their first bit of silverware of the new season.
