Mesut Ozil: 'Arsenal can win title'

Mesut Ozil insists that Arsenal have enough "world-class players" to win the Premier League title.

Mesut Ozil has claimed that Arsenal can win the Premier League this season.

The Gunners flashed their title credentials prior to the international break with a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Manchester United, with Ozil and a brace from Alexis Sanchez doing the damage in a rip-roaring first 20 minutes.

Arsene Wenger's side, whose last league crown came in 2004, moved two points behind leaders Manchester City, and the ex-Real Madrid star is convinced that they can end 12 years of hurt come May.

"We have a great team with a lot of world-class players," the German told Bild.

"Our goal is to win the Premier League title. I think we can achieve it this season if we do not get any major injuries. But the season is still long."

The North Londoners face top-flight new boys Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.
