Stewart Robson: Arsenal lack fight, determination

Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson thinks that Arsene Wenger needs to buy players with a "stronger mentality".

Former Arsenal playmaker Stewart Robson believes that the Gunners are in need of some new additions in order to retrieve the hunger for trophies.

The North London side are in the running for fourth spot in the Premier League but have the chance to claim silverware this season in the Champions League and the FA Cup.

Despite their current surge in form, Robson believes that Arsene Wenger's side lack the desire for silverware.

"Arsenal need players with a stronger mentality," Robson told talkSPORT. "That is something they have struggled with in recent years.

"They need players with a bit more determination and fight when things aren't going their way. At the moment Arsenal are still quite far away from winning trophies and I don't think they are quite the finished article."

The Gunners take on AC Milan in the first leg of the round-of-16 battle in the Champions League tonight.
