Stewart Robson claims that Arsene Wenger has caused "a lot of problems" at Arsenal and should be sacked as the manager.

Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson believes that the London club should sack manager Arsene Wenger.

The 48-year-old claims that the Frenchman should have been fired four or five years ago and blames him for the Gunners' lack of silverware since 2005.

"I would have sacked him four years ago but I'm in the minority," Robson told talkSPORT. "Arsenal need a new manager and they need it soon.

"In my view he's not [unsackable]. I wrote an article about four or five years ago when I said he was the cause of a lot of problems at Arsenal.

"He doesn't have the tactical understanding, his manner on the side of the pitch doesn't help the team, he's petulant and therefore his players become petulant. He doesn't give any information from the sidelines and his teams look under-prepared defensively."

Arsenal are currently 10th in the Premier League table with 21 points from 15 matches.
