Wojciech Szczesny "a big fan" of goal-line technology

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny reveals that he is a big fan of the goal-line technology that is being introduced to the Premier League this weekend.

Wojciech Szczesny has described himself as "a big fan" of goal-line technology.

Hawkeye technology is being introduced to the Premier League this weekend to inform referees when the ball crosses the line.

The Arsenal goalkeeper told the Gunners' official website: "I am a big fan of it, I am a big fan of any technology coming into football as long as it doesn't slow the game down.

"I tried it out and it is a rapid technology, the watch actually starts vibrating a split second after the ball crosses the line.

"It must be very upsetting when you score a goal and it doesn't count but as a goalkeeper it won't make a big difference because you are just trying to catch everything that comes your way, whether you have video technology or not."

Arsenal open their season against Aston Villa tomorrow afternoon.
