Wojciech Szczesny hails "great" derby win

Wojciech Szczesny likened his team's 5-2 win over Spurs on Sunday to the Gunners' victory over Barcelona last season.

Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny has likened his team's 5-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday to the Gunners' win over Barcelona last season.

Szczesny watched from the sidelines as Arsenal reduced the deficit between the North London rivals to seven points.

"It was a great feeling beating Tottenham like that. It was comparable to beating Barcelona at the Emirates last season," Szczesny said.

"It is probably one of the best feelings I have ever had in football. I hope that win will transform our season.

"After this win, we believe we can challenge Tottenham because we are seven points behind them now and we have the momentum."

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League with 46 points from 26 games.
