Rafael van der Vaart targets third place finish

Rafael van der Vaart urges his teammates to concentrate on securing third place.

Rafael van der Vaart has urged his teammates to keep focused and overhaul Arsenal to finish third in the Premier League.

Spurs have found some form over the past couple of weeks, moving back into the top four with just two games remaining.

Spurs are now ahead of Newcastle on goal difference in fourth place, however fourth may not guarantee Champions League football should Chelsea win the European Cup final against Bayern Munich.

Van der Vaart told Spurs TV Online: "We are now only a point behind Arsenal, so anything is possible.

"There are two games to go, but it feels like there is still a long way to go.

"We just have to concentrate on what we have to do at Villa."

Van der Vaart is expected to be involved when Spurs face Aston Villa tomorrow.
