Arsene Wenger: 'Abou Diaby is ready to play'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reveals that midfielder Abou Diaby could feature for the club before the end of the season following a year-long absence with a knee injury.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Abou Diaby could feature for Arsenal in their final games in the current Premier League season.

The French international returned to training last week following a year-long absence with knee ligament damage.

The manager told the club's website: "He is back in full training now and available to play. He might play a part of the game for the Under-21s.

"He hasn't played for a year but physically he is ready to play, completely. It is now just decision-making, getting used to challenges again. He needs a game."

Arsenal have matches against Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City still to come before the end of the season.
