Preview: Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole previews Wednesday's encounter between Arsenal and Manchester United in the Premier League.

Two of English football's biggest rivals will meet on Wednesday night when Arsenal play host to Manchester United in the Premier League.

However, this is far from the kind of title showdown that we have seen from these two teams down the years.

While the Gunners are battling it out around the top of the standings, United find themselves struggling around the mid-table.

David Moyes's side travel to the Emirates Stadium with just two wins from their last nine games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be keen to erase the memories of last weekend's 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool - a result that ended their 10-match unbeaten run.

Robin van Persie's goal separated the teams when they faced off at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

Thomas Vermaelen and Aaron Ramsey remain sidelined for the hosts, while Mathieu Flamini sees out his three-match ban.

Phil Jones, Marouane Fellaini and Jonny Evans are all unavailable for the visitors. Rio Ferdinand could start in central defence with Nemanja Vidic.
