AC Milan defender Shkodran Mustafi has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Arsenal.
Mustafi is coming to the end of his third season at the Emirates Stadium, but the Germany international has received criticism from the club's supporters due to the level of his recent performances.
The 27-year-old has just two years remaining on his contract, and Arsenal must decide whether they are ready to cash in on a player who cost the club £40m in 2016.
According to Tuttosport, recently-appointed Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis is looking at the possibility of signing Mustafi ahead of the next campaign.
Gazidis gave the green light for Arsenal to spend big on Mustafi during his time in North London, and it appears that the 54-year-old may be prepared to do the same with Milan at San Siro.
