Fiorentina midfielder Alberto Aquilani admits that Stevan Jovetic has earned the right to leave La Viola if an offer comes in this summer.

Fiorentina midfielder Alberto Aquilani has admitted that Stevan Jovetic is likely to leave La Viola this summer as rumours of interest from Arsenal and Juventus gather pace.

Jovetic is desperate to seek a new challenge in the close season after a largely consistent campaign for Vincenzo Montella's side.

Aquilani believes that the Montenegro striker has the quality and character to succeed at one of Europe's top clubs if a move goes through during the close season.

He told reporters at a press conference on Italy duty this afternoon: "I think at this point [Jovetic] is going to leave.

"Last year they promised if he stayed another season then he could choose his future. Aside from being a teammate, he is also a great person who would do well at any club."

The 23-year-old scored 13 times for Fiorentina in Serie A this season to help La Viola qualify for the Europa League.
