Fabrizio Romano claims that Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is no longer a summer transfer target for Arsenal.

Arsenal have reportedly ended their interest in Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma in a possible transfer boost for Liverpool.

The 24-year-old stood out for a struggling Brighton side this campaign and has been linked with a move away before next season.

Albion are reluctant to sell Bissouma, but they will supposedly cash in should an interested team offer a bid of around £40m.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, however, Arsenal are no longer in the running to sign the Mali international, leaving Liverpool as the frontrunners for his signature.

Romano suggests that Mikel Arteta is instead targeting a midfielder with different strengths, possibly one with a more attacking threat.

Arsenal beat Brighton 2-0 on Sunday to finish the 2020-21 campaign ninth in the Premier League.
