Arsenal reportedly have a 12-man shortlist in place as the club searches for a new permanent manager following the sacking of Unai Emery last week.

Arsenal have reportedly produced a 12-man shortlist as the club searches for a new permanent manager following the sacking of Unai Emery last week.

Freddie Ljungberg has taken charge on an interim basis and oversaw a 2-2 draw with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday in his opening game.

Reports have linked Arsenal with a number of managers, including Brendan Rodgers, Mikel Arteta and Massimiliano Allegri.

According to The Mirror, the Gunners have whittled down the potential candidates to a shortlist comprising of 12 managers.

It has been reported that Ljungberg, who is expected to remain interim boss for some time, is also a candidate for the role.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is also reportedly viewed as a 'credible' option.
