Arsenal 'hold talks with Rennes over Ismaila Sarr'

Arsenal hold talks with Rennes over a summer move for attacker Ismaila Sarr, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly held talks with Rennes over a move for attacker Ismaila Sarr.

The 21-year-old has been with Rennes since 2017, arriving at Roazhon Park from Metz.

The Senegal international has found the back of the net on 10 occasions in 39 appearances for his French club this season, in addition to contributing 11 assists in all competitions.

According to Goal.com, Arsenal held talks with Rennes over the winger in the aftermath of their Europa League last-16 first leg last week, which the Ligue 1 side won 3-1.

The Gunners recorded a 3-0 victory in the second leg to advance but were said to be impressed with Sarr's performance over both legs of the European tie.

Sarr, who is a 20-time Senegal international, has a contract with his current club until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
