Arsenal 'in for Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez'

Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez is reportedly a summer transfer target for Arsenal after finding the net 11 times in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal are ready to rival Inter Milan and Napoli in the race for Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez, according to a report.

The 25-year-old has netted a career-best 11 goals in the Premier League this season, seven of those coming in his last eight outings.

Perez has repeatedly admitted in recent weeks that he is unsure whether he will still be a Newcastle player next season, with a move abroad a possibility.

Serie A sides Inter and Napoli are rumoured to have made their interest known, and The Sun claims that Newcastle's domestic rivals Arsenal may also now be in the running for the £25m-rated ace.

Perez has scored just 32 Premier League goals in 141 games, but Unai Emery reportedly believes that he can get more out of his compatriot, who is tied down to the Magpies until 2021.

Newcastle have not yet given up hope of persuading the ex-Tenerife ace to sign a new deal.
