Arsenal are reportedly told by Sampdoria that it will cost £44m for Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Sampdoria have reportedly told Arsenal that they will have to improve their offer for Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the pair in recent weeks, and it has been claimed that the Premier League outfit have made a bid in the region of £37m.

Sampdoria appear to have other ideas regarding a fee, however, as the Daily Star reports that Arsenal are £7m short of their asking price.

That stance has the potential to derail any deal since Unai Emery has allegedly only been provided with a limited transfer budget for the summer window.

The report adds that Sampdoria - who finished in ninth position in the Serie A table this season - are not in any rush to part ways with two of their key men.
